Hydration
Proper hydration is the number one factor in preventing altitude sickness, cramps, and fatigue. The rule: drink before you feel thirsty. Aim for 250ml every 30 minutes of trekking.
On Aarohana Trails expeditions, we provide boiled or purified water at every campsite and rest stop.
Nutrition
We provide all meals on multi-day treks — a mix of Karnataka local cuisine, dal-rice, ragi mudde, and soups. If you have dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten-free, etc.) inform us at booking.
Acclimatisation
For treks above 2,000m, we build acclimatisation rest days into the itinerary. Do not take shortcuts. The Ghats are humid and deceptively taxing despite relatively moderate altitudes.
Mental Preparation
The hardest part of any trek is rarely the body — it is the mind. Accept that you will have slow days, weather surprises, and unexpected changes. Flexibility and a positive attitude are as important as your boots.
