Joining an Aarohana Trails expedition is joining a community. This Code of Conduct protects the experience for everyone.
Non-Negotiable Rules
- Zero alcohol and narcotics — Consumption before or during a trek is grounds for immediate removal without refund.
- Respect for all — Harassment, discrimination, or abusive language toward other trekkers, guides, or local communities will not be tolerated.
- No Bluetooth speakers — The forest has its own soundtrack. Let it play.
- Consent in photography — Always ask before photographing local villagers or tribal community members.
- No drones — Drones are prohibited in all forest reserve areas.
- No feeding wildlife — This applies to every animal, from elephants to monkeys to birds.
Trek Leader Authority
The Trek Leader's instructions are binding at all times. In any situation involving safety, the Trek Leader's decision is final and non-negotiable.
Consequences
Violations of this Code may result in:
- Immediate removal from the trek (at your own expense for travel back).
- Forfeiture of any refund.
- A permanent ban from future Aarohana Trails expeditions.
- Escalation to forest authorities where applicable.
